Good Moodra Yoga offers a safe, fun and challenging atmosphere for all yogis – from beginner to advanced levels. We love how Yoga makes us feel, and we want to share that with the community.

Yin

Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga, targeting deep into the fascia and connective tissues. It incorporates principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, with asanas (postures) that are held for longer periods of time.

Vinyasa

Vinyasa translates directly to “movement with breath.” It is a style of yoga characterized by stringing postures together so that you move from one to another seamlessly, using breath. It is commonly referred to as “flow” yoga.

Gentle flow

Gentle Flow Yoga is a variation of traditional Hatha Yoga that is perfect for anyone with injuries, less mobile or stiffer bodies. It is gentle enough to be restorative, but challenging enough to help rehabilitate and strengthen the body.

Beginner

If you’re newer to yoga this is exactly the class for you. There is no pressure to be “flexible” or “good at yoga”. We offer gentle guidance into and out of postures, while offering modifications, and ensuring the understanding of the yoga basics necessary to graduate into more advanced classes.

restorative

Restorative yoga is all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching. The goal is to allow your body to relax completely by use of props, rather than your muscles supporting your body. Restorative yoga is an excellent way to help reduce stress.

Power vinyasa

Power Vinyasa is a strength-focused and fast-paced style of yoga. You can expect a more rigorous, but accessible class that flows from one sequence to the next with breath.

Trapeze

The Yoga Trapeze is integrated seamlessly into traditional mat yoga in various ways.

1. It offers an additional resource to add-on to what you’d usually get in a mat session by building strength in the posterior chain and the upper body.

2. It serves as a tool to modify, deepen or enhance traditional yoga poses that can be either less accessible or trickier on the mat.

3. It can be utilized as a tool for spinal traction using your own body weight. Traction is important for all spines, healthy or healing, because it allows the bones of the spine to separate. This releases muscle tension and allows room for fluid circulation in the vertebral disks.

Good Moodra Yoga offers two types of trapeze classes:

Power Trapeze

A fitness-based class that focuses on strength-building through pull-motion exercises and back and core engagement while working on flexibility, using the trapeze to achieve deeper versions of yoga poses that are done on the mat.

Beginner Trapeze

If you’re new to the Yoga Trapeze, this is the class for you. This class will build strength and flexibility by using the trapeze to help reach versions of yoga poses that are not as accessible on the mat. Focus and attention will be placed on building grip and pull strength, which is underutilized in our day-to-day lives.

Benefits of yoga with goodmoodra

Good Moodra Yoga is a place where yogis of all levels come to share their unique practices and learn and grow with their peers with common goals and ambitions. It allows for a safe, judgement-free space for students to ask questions, share feedback, and receive modifications to their practice. We consistently reinforce that the purpose of yoga is not to “get into poses,” but to  experience their bodies moving and stretching, and strengthening at their own paces while allowing the mind to relax, manage their stress and ultimately, improve their mood!
